Boycotting this election is also to prevent a civil war among voter
No to vote!
No to militia warfare!
We anarchists reject voting because the result of the historical phenomena of the parliamentary system and the ineffective role of the voters. Therefore, there is no need to express our position every time on the eve of each vote. We anarchists have the same historical position on class sovereignty, parliamentary systems and any forms of government. It is to boycott voting. We are with social self-organization for the social self-managing of our communities as an alternative.
Similarly, self-organized groups in areas of life, work, and education serves as an alternative to rejecting all class structures, whether they are yellow trade unions, political parties, parliament, the government, or the state itself. This is because we demand social self-managed society by productive people and those who truly want to serve society.
One reason that has encouraged us, the Kurdish-speaking Anarchist Forum (KAF), to express our position now more than ever is the sense of responsibility felt by voters in general and the supporters of political parties in particular. This responsibility includes taking the right stance on wars and civil conflicts, as seen between 1963 and 1987, except for the period from 1970 to 1974, when the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) was in a ceasefire and negotiation with the Iraqi government of the time. The civil war, which resumed between 1994 and 1998, cast a shadow over the lives, existence, and dreams of the people of the region. We, the oppressed, have always been the victims of these wars, while the arms dealers and politicians have been the winners. After every war, the bourgeoisie, as brothers, have sat together and feasted on the blood of the victims.
The possibility of the war and the smell of gunpowder and blood of the war can be seen and heard in the speeches and calls of the leaders of the political parties and the candidates of the parties. Any conscious and experienced person feels this possibility and became openly part of the conversation in people’s normal life.
The only obstacle to this war is to boycott the elections, because in case of defeat of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) or KDP, they will start the war with the support of their foreign interests. Therefore, this time, as in previous times, we are not calling only for a boycott of the vote and masses and social self- managed society, but also for mass and social preparation to eliminate the possibility of civil war and prevent any form of war.
Our efforts is to prevent the war between the ruling militia parties, which is openly fueled by the intelligence agencies of the Turkish, Iranian and Iraqi governments, while the PUK forces as part of the Iranian government army and the KDP forces as part of the Turkish government army. The result of the vote will send us the message of war if they do not get enough votes to govern.
We do not want peace between the political parties, capitalists and authorities, and we will never try for peace and unity between the wings of power and also we will not make peace with the authorities, heads of the corporations and the riches. On the basis of these and previous experiences of civil wars, in preparation for any armed war, we must mobilize our local groups and mass and social organizations to expel militias and government forces from our homes. This can be happened by organizing our mass defense and protection. Otherwise, like in previous wars, villages and cities will become the battlefields of the KDP and PUK, our families and social structures will be divided into battlefields and brothers and sisters will become killers of each other!
We consider ourselves part of the voice of the protesters in society, and as a matter of historical responsibility, we declare our decision to boycott and prepare against civil war. We will not participate in any coalition or efforts by authoritarian groups, political parties, or vanguard groups. We oppose all forms of rulers, whether they come from parliamentary systems, single-party, or multi-party politics.
No to vote!
No to bad or worse elections.
No to armed warfare.
No to mass and social divisions.
Yes towards anti-class revolutionary unity.
